The POG Engine
The POG Engine (Proof of Gamers) is the cornerstone of our ecosystem, a revolutionary platform designed to track, reward, and empower gamers with a unique, data-driven representation of their gaming journey. Through the POG Card, a soulbound NFT, we are reshaping how gamers interact with their profiles, achievements, and identities across multiple games and platforms.
POG Engine is already garnering immense appreciation from early adopters, particularly from the CCs (Core Communities), who are thrilled by the transformative potential of this technology. POG isn’t just a product—it’s a gamified identity that tracks not only the time a player spends in-game but also the resources they commit, creating an immutable and decentralized profile that mirrors their true gaming prowess and contributions.
Core Components of the POG Engine
The POG Engine consists of a multi-layered architecture, each layer serving to ensure accurate, secure, and efficient data processing. At its core, the engine operates on five key Proofs, which aggregate and validate various gamer attributes across multiple domains.
POG Card: The Soulbound NFT
At the heart of the POG Engine is the POG Card—a soulbound NFT that encapsulates a user’s entire gaming profile. Unlike conventional NFTs, soulbound tokens are non-transferable, ensuring that the NFT represents the genuine identity and achievements of the player. The POG Card is designed to be more than just a token; it becomes a living, evolving testament to the gamer’s activity, achievements, and progression.
The POG Card stores key gamer attributes, including:
Reserves ENS Name: Users reserve a unique username, which can be tied to their ENS (Ethereum Name Service) address.
Avatar: AI-generated based on the player's character selection and uploaded selfie.
POG Score: A composite score derived from various Proofs (Proof of Gamer, Proof of Human, Proof of Play, etc.), capturing the gamer’s activity, engagement, and achievements across platforms.
POX Badges: Dynamic badges reflecting various gaming milestones and accomplishments.
Clan Details: The player’s involvement in their gaming community or clan.
Lifetime Earnings: A record of the player’s K-Cash earnings, tied directly to their game contributions.
Platform & Game Genre: Information about the games the player engages with and their primary platforms.
Country: Geolocation information, adding a layer of personalization.
This NFT, minted on the Aptos blockchain, is not just a static asset; it can evolve as the player’s performance, achievements, and data change, with dynamic updates for attributes like badges, scores, and even the avatar itself. The POG Engine ensures seamless and real-time synchronization with on-chain data, making the POG Card a living artifact of a gamer’s identity. You can view the NFTs on marketplace too HERE.
2. The POG Calculation Layer: Data-Driven Gaming Identity
The POG Engine’s intelligence comes from a sophisticated, multi-layered calculation system that compiles and processes a wealth of gamer data from multiple sources:
Data Ingestion: The engine aggregates data from social media platforms (e.g., Twitter, Discord, Telegram) and on-chain data from platforms like EVM chains (Polygon, Hedera, Base, zksync), Aptos. Additionally, it tracks user behaviour on game websites to offer an in-depth view of a player’s activity as explained below.
Data Aggregation: Aggregating this data into distinct tables ensures that any disruptions in one table won’t affect the system, maintaining robust data integrity. These tables are essential for accurate calculation of the player’s POG score.
POG Score Calculation: The score is derived from multiple Proofs—Proof of Gamer (PoG), Proof of Human (PoH), Proof of Play (PoP), Proof of Skill (PoSk), Proof of Social (PoS), and Proof of Commerce (PoC). These proofs quantify a player’s contributions across gameplay, social interactions, skill performance, and spending behaviour.
PoG: Aggregates activity and behaviour across platforms, taking into account gameplay, social interactions, and wallet transactions.
PoH: Validates identity via OAuth integrations (e.g., Discord, Twitter) and KYC verification.
PoP: Measures time spent in games, session frequency, and achievements.
PoSk: Evaluates leaderboard rankings, tournament results, and achievements.
POSc: Evaluates social interactions, engagement on Discord, and social media influence.
PoC: Assesses spending patterns and purchasing behavior across digital and in-game assets.
Each proof contributes to a final, unified POG score that is immutable and transparent, ensuring that every gamer’s achievements are accurately captured and celebrated in a fair and decentralized manner.
3. The User Journey: From Data to Minted NFT
The POG experience begins when a user reserves their username and uploads their selfie for avatar generation. This avatar is then paired with a personalised POG Card, which consolidates the user’s data from multiple proofs, rendering a truly unique identity that is exclusively tied to their gaming journey.
The minting process is powered by the POG Web3 Service and includes:
Reserve Username: Users reserve a unique username, which can be tied to their ENS (Ethereum Name Service) address.
Selfie Upload and Avatar Creation: The user uploads a selfie, and then the AI transforms the player’s selfie and selected character into a unique avatar.
Data Preparation & POG Card Generation: Aggregated gamer data is used to generate the POG Card.
Minting: The finalized POG Card, containing all the player’s unique attributes, is minted as a Soulbound NFT on the Aptos blockchain. This NFT becomes the player’s permanent gaming identity, continuously updated with new achievements, gameplay, and interactions.
4. AI-Powered Avatar Generation and Blockchain Minting
A key feature of the POG Engine is AI-based avatar generation. The user’s selfie and character choice are processed by third-party AI services (e.g., Segmind) to generate an avatar that is truly representative of the gamer. The avatar is then minted onto the POG Card, ensuring that the visual identity remains as unique and dynamic as the player themselves.
Once the card is generated, it is minted as a Soulbound NFT on Aptos. The Aptos Blockchain ensures that the token is secure, immutable, and permanently tied to the user’s wallet. The POG NFT contains encrypted POX scores and metadata, ensuring privacy while still allowing for dynamic updates as the player progresses in their gaming career.
5. Security and Role-Based Access
The security of the POG Engine is paramount, especially when dealing with sensitive data such as scores and earnings. Key security features include:
Encryption: Sensitive data, such as POX scores and financial data, is encrypted before being stored.
Role-Based Access Control: Administrative functions like minting, burning, and updating attributes are restricted to authorised personnel, ensuring that only trusted parties can alter NFTs.
Immutable Data: Once the POG Card is minted as an NFT, it cannot be altered or transferred, ensuring that the card is permanently tied to the player’s identity.
